EVENT: Routes into teaching

Tuesday 2nd October 1 pm The routes into teacher training have become more diverse over recent years i.e. PGCE, School Direct, SCITT, Teach First. Secondary Physics is currently one of the shortage subject areas and attractive bursaries are available to attract new trainee teachers. This talk includes information about each of the main training routes, suggests ways to get relevant experience and provides an insight into funding arrangements. It includes the essential information that you will need if you are considering teaching as a future career, or just about to put in an application for teacher training. All students are welcome to attend this event including undergraduates in any year of study, taught postgraduates and postgraduate researchers.
