What to know more about the career opportunities available to Physics students at the AMRC?

We are organising a guided tour of the AMRC on Wednesday 7th February 2018 at 2pm (tour lasts around 1.5hrs). Thanks to our WRIPA funding, this visit is FREE and includes all transfers.

We are going to start our tour in the Factory of the Future, which houses our Machining and Composites groups, and then take a look at the Nuclear AMRC (time permitting).

This event is open exclusively to current Physics students from Sheffield, York, Leeds, Hull and Nottingham Universities. Full joining and transfer details will be confirmed closer to the event date by each university.

Early booking is essential, as there are a very limited number of places available on the tour and they are allocated on a first come basis.

International Women's Day 2022 #BreakTheBias

  International Women's Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. This year we are called upon to  #BreakTheBias . From the International Women's Day 2022 website:  "Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. At SLE research is conducted into future generations of display technology, an area in which Sharp Corporation is a world market leader. The available 12 month placement is for a physicist to join a small and innovative team, part of a larger, inter-disciplinary displays group.
