GRADUATE SCHEME: Various roles in Sheffield City Region (RISE)

The RISE Graduate Scheme is now live and accepting applications!

There are 27 graduate roles available across Sheffield City Region, with vacancies available in multiple sectors, including;

•    Publishing
•    Marketing/communications/PR
•    Design
•    Languages
•    IT
•    Sports
•    Recruitment
•    Legal
•    Charity

All RISE roles are paid a competitive salary and most have excellent progression opportunities.

Additionally, 14 of the roles are open to candidates from any degree background, meaning if you fancy working in a sector outside the bounds of your degree subject, you have the opportunity to do so!

All RISE roles are based within a local business in the Sheffield city region with roles available in Sheffield, Chesterfield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, Bassetlaw, Derbyshire Dales and North East Derbyshire.

The application deadline is Monday 9th of April at 9:00 am.

International Women's Day 2022 #BreakTheBias

  International Women's Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. This year we are called upon to  #BreakTheBias . From the International Women's Day 2022 website:  "Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all  #BreakTheBias. Sharp Laboratories of Europe (SLE) (www.sle.sharp.co.uk) is an integral part of Sharp Corporation of Japan. At SLE research is conducted into future generations of display technology, an area in which Sharp Corporation is a world market leader. The available 12 month placement is for a physicist to join a small and innovative team, part of a larger, inter-disciplinary displays group. The post may involve fabrication and characterisation of novel devices for use in flat panel displays (LCD and OLED), test and measurement of optical components, optical modelling/simulation and image data processing. The post requires someone with a strong interest in applied research and good practical skills.
