The Ogden Trust Teach Physics Internship Programme 2019

The Teach Physics 2019 Internship Programme provides 4-5 week placements in school science departments for students to gain an intensive experience of teaching physics as well as developing transferable skills for other careers.

Deadline for applications is Sunday 3 February 2019.

Look for the flyers on the Careers Noticeboards and around the department, read about it on the Ogden Trust Website, or come and talk to Anne in Hicks F10.

International Women's Day 2022 #BreakTheBias

  International Women's Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. This year we are called upon to  #BreakTheBias . From the International Women's Day 2022 website:  "Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. At SLE research is conducted into future generations of display technology, an area in which Sharp Corporation is a world market leader. The available 12 month placement is for a physicist to join a small and innovative team, part of a larger, inter-disciplinary displays group. The post may involve fabrication and characterisation of novel devices for use in flat panel displays (LCD and OLED), test and measurement of optical components, optical modelling/simulation and image data processing.
