 If you are in your penultimate year, you can apply now for this exciting opportunity to spend your summer or university sandwich placement year in a high profile Government Department. 

 You could be part of a select team who can influence the decisions of policy makers at more than 25 government departments and agencies. From immigration to climate change, GORS looks objectively at the complex problems the government faces and applies a range of analytical and modelling techniques to help them find better solutions. 

 1-year Placements are available in: Croydon, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield. 

If choosing Edinburgh or Glasgow please also make at least one second location preference as there is only one placement available in these locations. 

Summer Placements of 10-12 weeks are available in: Coventry, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle and, yes, Sheffield!!!

International Women's Day 2022 #BreakTheBias

  International Women's Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. At SLE research is conducted into future generations of display technology, an area in which Sharp Corporation is a world market leader. The available 12 month placement is for a physicist to join a small and innovative team, part of a larger, inter-disciplinary displays group.
